Susan and I, having both reached our 60's now, have decided that our next project is to try and retire.

The main advantages are being able to run the business from home with low overheads and limited space required as we initially worked from the spare bedroom. A phone line and good access to a Post Office are the main requirements.
Being a limited company the sale should be fairly straightforward and, as the saying goes, everything must go, so will include all the stock, computer with all the relevant software, all the office equipment, the website, all the stationery and a database of 2,000 customers and contacts although to be fair probably only about 50% are still active as this is the number we have built up over 18 years of trading.
We would also include 1-2 weeks training here and the first 6 months advice back up by telephone, as although we would no longer own the business we are keen to see it carrying on succeeding having started it from scratch 18 years ago. To be perfectly honest it's not going to make you a millionaire but it has paid our mortgage and bills all this time whilst having fun at the same time.
